Sam Po Kong temple is located at the foot of Bukit Cina in Melaka. The temple was built around 1795 by Kapitan Tsai Shih Chang (Kapitan is the chief of an ethnic community during the Dutch ruling era) and is dedicated to the pantheon of Malaysia and Singapore, Tua Pek Kong.
The Sam Po Kong temple is just a short distance from Little Indian of Melaka. It is adjacent to the Melaka Warrior Monument and Hang Li Poh’s Well.
