The Asam Pedas Claypot Kota Laksamana, locally known as Pepsi Kota Laksamana, has been around ever since in the foodie scene for both Malaccan and foreign visitors.
Asam Pedas Claypot has an enormous and punchy signboard in its Kota Laksamana dining venue and is always packed with hordes of insatiable crowd. The verdict is a tangy, aromatic, spicy broth with a few choices for fish – stingray, mackerel or kembong, served in; you guessed it, sizzled claypots. All asam pedas in Asam Pedas Claypot are served with white rice, salted egg and sambal puree for that extra punch.
Apart from its signature dish, Asam Pedas Claypot serves an extensive menu of local Malaysian mamak food, such as Nasi Lemak, Nasi Goreng and Roti Canai, plus a feast for carnivores such as satay and otak-otak.
Asam Pedas Claypot opens till late in the night, providing the hungry masses with yet another alternative passing midnight.
